Hei 1,5 years old GP with slight white ocular discharge and a new growth, both clinical signs have appeared very suddenly according to owner. Flourescein negative, not painful. No other illness. We have booked it in for mass removal and histology next week, but does anyone know what this is? Any advice much appreciated
Corticosteroids are not a good idea, and in gps you have almost always subclinical infection or commensal presence of Chlamydia caviae. Surgical excision and NSAIDs are probably the way to go. Make sure to do histology!
