Hello.
I need your opinions on this cytology I took from a feline client.
3 years old castrated male British short hair cat came with a 1 week old lump on his upper lip which looked like rows of spindles with a bit of hemorrhage. It didn’t seem to bother the cat.
I took an imprint smear and stained it with Diff-Quik.
What are your opinions and what would be te best next step I should take?
Looks like normal squamous epithelial cells, impressions sometimes don’t show what’s truly going on and just get surface cells. FNA usually yields better diagnostic results.
