Hey. Was wondering if somebody has some input regarding the follow up of this patient. Leopard Gecko female 3 yrs, breader from Latvia, bought by O 3 mths ago at the local pet store.
Owner noticed when he bought the gecko that she walks differently on her right hind limb and she sheds her skin every 2 weeks (but she has also grown in this period). Can that be normal that shedding is that often in growing periods?
The O is very dedicated, cage is maybe a little small with 45cmx 45cm, but he is on to that will change within the month. T gradient in the terrarium 23-29 degrees, 30-40 humidity, natural clay subrate, moist cave with moist substrate.
Gets calcium and Vit D supplement with meals. Diett is an issue because the petstores around can not provide living food at the moment. Been like that for the last 4 weeks. Gets dried insects and "gecko porridge", which is suboptimal and he knows.
X- rays shows clearly that the limb malformed. I would personally say that the calcification of the bones looks alright. But please correct med if Iam wrong. Bones dont seem soft on palpation.
She climbs otherwise without any issues, is very active and does not seem to be effected by the leg.
Diett has been adressed.
