Saw a hoglet with the below lesions on the neck area. When cleaned, skin underneath is raw and starts bleeding easily. Has grown according to carer.
Has anyone saw such similiar lesions before please and / or can guide into next steps / possible treatment plan?
Otherwise hoglet is doing fine.

Not seen such leasions, but please be aware that European hedgehogs can carry Corynebacterium ulcerans, especially in abscesses and wounds, and that is highly pathogenic (zoonosis, can cause diptheria-like symptoms, among other things). https://www.tandfonline.com/.../10.../22221751.2018.1562312
