Anyone that could give me a second opinion on this rabbit:
1 year old male (according to owner, but no testicles and not castrated, so might be female) presented with sudden anorexia (and maybe decreased fecal output) as well as behavioural change (aggression). Was normal the day prior according to owner.
Free roaming indoor rabbit, eats hay and pellets (owner couldn’t explain what type).
Very difficult to examine as gets super stressed. No obvious dental pathology
Done xrays and bloods and started supportive treatment with fluids and analgesia
Bloods:
Glucose at 16,27mmol/l
ALP: 45 U/L (70-145)
ALT within range
BUN within range
Calcium: 3,09 mmol/l (1,40-3,00)
Kidney values within range
Cholesterol: below 0,15mmol/l (0,90-1,37)
Bilirubin: < 2umol/l (5-14)
Didn’t get enough blood for hematology.
Anyone seen anything similar or has any suggestions for possible aetiology?
