Guinea pigs: Albino vs red eyed+white fur.
How can you tell that a guinea pig is albino or "just" red eyed and white fur? Any clinical signs or do you have to do genetic testing? Do red eyes on non-albinos still give them poor eye sight, or no?

Monica Heggelund I've been told, that being red eyed with white fur does not automatically mean they have the genetic condition of albinism. But I'm certainly no expert ? I generally don't believe everything breeders say, so I just wanted to see if anyone here knew?
