Good morning! I have two guineapigs, one castrated male and one female. Both around two years old. By coinsedence I saw the urine from one of them looked a bit different so i took a test, and it was positiv on blood. I did send it to the laboratorium (urine from the floor...) The results is as a attachment. I took x ray and there I saw a small calculus in the male. I took a new fresh sample from both, it did not have any blood or any crystals. I have no clinical signs on distress, they both urinate without problems.
I feed them with hay, a bit pepper (red- paprika for c vitamins), some cucumber, fresh salad every day.
Is there some diet I should avoid? Should I try to get a new better sample of urine, and send to bacteriology? Should I treat the one with the calculus, does anyone take the calculi out with surgery?
I usually just treat dogs and cats, so I an very happy if someone can help me with my pet
