Once again my bearded dragon patient. This is the same dragon as all my previous posts. 2,5 yr old female. She had problems with egg laying, but she stopped and therefore she was not castrated. The last time she laid eggs was 17.06.22. Now the owner says she is is not at active as before. She does not go to her warm spot witch is usually her favorite spot. When she moves she drags her back legs. She can climb, but does not use her back legs other than for support. She was off her food for one day, otherwise she is eating well. Intermittent diarrhea. I can palpate a hard structure in the left abdomen, it is moving a bit around. Please see x-rays and ultrasound. The last ultralsound picture shows the structure, it has distal acoustic shadowing. Can it be a left over egg? I can see follicles, but they are much smaller than the ones she had when she was laying eggs. On the xray the structure is on the level of the "L" marker. Would also appreciate tips to manage her diarrhea if it is a separate problem. Thanks for any help with this patient.
Diarrea is connected to ovaries usually. GIT is squeezed with ovaries so you can suspect diarrea or constipation. Owner does not want to castrate and just take this problem away forever?
She was euthanized ? Found a large tumor om the left ovary. Don't know if it was a neoplasia or something else. All the other follicles were normal. No eggs. Castration would have helped, yes, but the travel and lack of competence made the owners choice difficult.
