Chicken owner came in with this specimen today. Feather lice?
I found a treatment involving deltametrin.
0,05% solution sprayed topically on the entire flock + thorough cleaning of the environment.
Restrictions on eggs for 7 days and meat for 42 days. Anything else i should tell the owner?

Kinds of Poultry Lice
Amy Murillo / University of California, Riverside
Just as there are three types of human lice, there are multiple kinds of poultry lice. Menacanthus stramineus, the body louse, is the louse most likely to infest your backyard flock. The body louse thrives on the warmth and moisture of your chicken’s vent but also can be found on the breasts and thighs. Other kinds of poultry lice include:
Menopon gallinae (the feather-shaft louse)
Lipeurus caponis (the wing louse)
Cuclotogaster heterographus (the head louse)
Goniocotes gallinae (the fluff louse)
Goniodes gigas (the large chicken louse)
Goniodes dissimilis (the brown chicken louse)
Menacanthus cornutus (the “other” body louse)
Uchida pallidula (the small body louse)
Oxylipeurus dentatus (the toothed louse)
